Where Sasha Alexander's Career Has Gone: From Rizzoli & Isles to Dawson's Creek.

Sasha Alexander, born Suzana Drobnjaković, began her acting career with guest appearances on various television shows.

Her breakout role came in 2000 when she joined the cast of "Dawson's Creek" as Gretchen Witter, Pacey's older sister. This role introduced her to a wider audience and showcased her talent in a popular teen drama setting.

She appeared in films like "Mission: Impossible III" (2006) and had guest spots on TV shows including "Friends" and "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation."

However, her next major television role was as Caitlin Todd in the first two seasons of "NCIS" (2003-2005), where she played a Secret Service/NCIS Special Agent.

Her departure from the show was a significant turning point, as it allowed her to explore different opportunities.

For the television series "Rizzoli & Isles," which airs on TNT, Alexander was cast in the role of Maura Isles, a smart medical examiner, in the year 2010.

Together with Angie Harmon, she became one of the most defining roles of her career, and she continued to play it for seven successful seasons until 2016.

Her reputation as a talented and engaging actress, who is capable of anchoring a blockbuster series and capturing audiences with her explosive performances, was cemented by the program.
